Every growing brand family eventually needs one dependable place to manage how it talks to its audience by email. For Boston Made, that place is BostonMade.net — the newsletter and subscriber-preference hub that sits behind every “Subscribe” button across the ecosystem.
Rather than asking visitors to manage separate email subscriptions on Bosstox, the Newsroom, the Boston Made App, and every other property, Fenway Web built BostonMade.net as the single destination those signups point back to — so a subscriber’s preferences live in one place, not a dozen.
BostonMade.net functions as Boston Made’s subscriber preference center: a lightweight, fast-loading WordPress site where readers confirm what they want to hear about — company news, Bosstox updates, new brand launches, or all of the above — and how often they want to hear from it.
Social platforms change their algorithms, their rules, and sometimes their entire business model. Email is the one channel a company actually owns. By giving Boston Made a dedicated, brand-neutral email home, Fenway Web made sure the relationship with each subscriber outlives any single social feed or platform shift.
It’s infrastructure, not just an inbox.
BostonMade.net runs on the same modern WordPress foundation as the rest of the portfolio, but its job is narrower and more specific than any other property in the ecosystem: manage the relationship with every email subscriber, in one place, no matter which Boston Made brand first earned that signup. Under the hood, that means a lightweight preference-center front end backed by list segmentation that keeps Bosstox readers, Newsroom subscribers, and future brand audiences properly separated even when they overlap.
The hardest part of this build wasn’t the sign-up form — it was designing for brands that don’t exist yet. Fenway Web structured BostonMade.net’s subscriber data model so a new Boston Made property can plug in its own newsletter option without asking existing subscribers to sign up again or migrating a single record by hand.
An email hub is only as good as its inbox placement. From day one, BostonMade.net was configured with proper authentication (SPF, DKIM, and DMARC alignment) and clear unsubscribe and preference-management flows, so the ecosystem’s email reputation stays healthy as sending volume grows across brands.
Most of the sites in this portfolio are the public face of a brand. BostonMade.net is different — it’s the quiet infrastructure that makes every other brand’s marketing more durable, by giving Boston Made a direct line to its audience that no algorithm or platform change can take away. It’s a good example of Fenway Web thinking beyond a single website to the systems that connect an entire portfolio of them.
